Madeline Shields is a photo stylist based in San Francisco, CA. Drawing on a degree in film and 10+ years of experience in the design industry, Madeline’s work pursues the objective of creating meaningful narratives through tasteful compositions and space. Over the course of her career she has collaborated with leading brands, photographers, designers, and architects to bring expressive projects to life. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Madeline honed her eye working in residential and commercial interior design, including as designer & stylist at Airbnb. Her current offering includes photo styling, floral & set design, curation, creative consulting, and content photography.

As an extension of her studio based work, in 2022 Madeline launched Sommer, a considered retail space for the discerning customer. Sommer integrates all facets of Madeline’s experience — curation, graphic design, creative direction & photography — to showcase a distinct universe of homewares and objects.
